Worker and contractor welfare are of the utmost importance to us and shape everything we do as a business. We will continue to work to the very highest standards of compliance, service and operational excellence, in the best interests of all who deal with us.

As a demonstration of this commitment, we hold FCSA accreditation and we’re very proud to be APSCo Trusted Partners.

The FCSA operates a best practice Codes of Compliance designed to ensure that its Accredited Members provide services, advice and employment to the highest level of professional and ethical standards in the UK:

 

  • Robust Codes of Compliance developed by Ernst & Young, in consultation with HMRC, and available to the public on the FCSA website.
  • Accredited Members are tested annually by carefully selected, independent assessors. All assessors are top-tier regulated accountants and solicitors. 
  • The FCSA Codes of Compliance are continually updated to reflect current legislation.
  • Non-compliance by FCSA Accredited Members results in the suspension or termination of FCSA Accredited Membership.
JobsAware provides free help and advice to UK workers who believe they might have suffered from job scams or unfair working practices. As part of their work to improve standards for non-permanent workers, such as agency and umbrella workers, they have partnered with a number of umbrella organisations to pilot an awareness scheme.
 
The JobsAware Principles of Good Practice for Umbrella Companies are below;
  • Demonstrate that they are working proactively to protect contractor rights.
  • Promote JobsAware as a place to refer contractors that have concerns about their employment.
  • Promote JobsAware as a place to refer contractors that need general employment help or advice.
  • Engage with the opportunity to engage with UK Government, through a Payment Intermediaries sub-committee, to discuss issues and opportunities in the sector.
  • Report abuse against themselves, such as contractor fraud, to JobsAware.

  • Regular engagement with Government departments and other stakeholders

IWORK was founded in December 2020 to inform, lobby for and build a community of contractors, freelancers and contingent workers and the self-employed. They share informative content about compliance, best practice and industry news. 

We became a partners to demonstrate our commitment to supporting contingent workers and put their welfare at the heart of their services.
