Announcement of the 2024 National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage rates

The minimum wage will increase by more than a pound to £11.44 per hour from April next year.

 

The minimum wage, known officially as the National Living Wage, varies according to the age of the employee and is currently £10.42 an hour for workers over 23. For the first time, from 1 April 2024, workers aged 21 and over will be entitled to the National Living Wage.

 

From 1st April 2024, the National Living Wage (NLW) will be the statutory minimum wage for workers aged 21 and over. The full scales of rates for all ages are below;

The above rates will apply to payments relating to work completed on or after 1st April 2024.
